Rattler Family, the Rattler baseball team is the No. 6 seed in the 2A-4 Conference Tournament and will play No. 7 seed Western Yell County at 4 p.m. at Mansfield today (Wednesday, April 26). If the Rattlers win, they will play No. 3 seed Mountainburg tonight at 8 p.m. The winner of that game will earn a berth in next week's 2A-West Region Tournament at Greenland on May 4-6. #RattlerPride #RattlerFamily #RattlerBaseball

Rattler Family, join us in congratulating sophomores Jailynn Sims and Elizabeth Merritt and freshman Phoebe Hopper for their performances in Friday's McDonald's Relays at Fort Smith Southside High School. Sims finished fourth in the discus and sixth in the shot, Merritt finished fifth in the 1600M run and eighth in the 3200M run and Hopper finished 11th in the 3200M run. The trio served as the Lady Rattlers' team and finished 10th overall in the 16-team event that featured teams from Class 2A-7A. Rattler Family, Magazine Elementary will have a snowcone fundraiser on Friday (April 28). Snowcones will be available to elementary students, faculty and staff for $1. All proceeds will go towards the fall carnival, field day, field trips and other fun events for MES students and staff. #RattlerPride #RattlerFamily

Rattler Family, during the month of May, our elementary and high school students will have the opportunity to receive vision services on Wednesdays from Dr. Ahn Chung with Arkansas Family Eye Care in Paris. Rattler Family, fourth-grade elementary students in Ms. Kellogg and Ms. Root's class helped clean up Magazine Schools by picking up trash on both campuses and helping their community KEEP ON SHINING! Rattler Family, we are excited to partner with the South Logan County Boys and Girls Club to pilot Transfr VR: Virtual Reality Training for Workforce Development. This platform is designed to prepare students for well-paying careers in high-demand fields. We will also partner with South Logan County Boys and Girls Club facilitator, Hayden Fennell. Coach Chance Shelby has agreed to pilot this program during his sixth-period class with eighth-graders. Mr. Fennell will work with small groups of eighth-graders using the Transfr VR each Friday afternoon in Diamondback Arena.
