Rattler Family, Magazine Schools student Alex Hittner, who will be a seventh grader this coming school year, was recognized for setting the school record for Accelerated Reader (A.R.) points in a school year with 763.6 points during the 2024-25 school year during last night's regularly-scheduled meeting of the Magazine School Board of Education. AR points are earned through reading books throughout the school year and successfully completing a comprehension assessment over each book. Each book is assigned an AR point value based on its length and difficulty.
