Rattler Family, these Magazine Elementary students are making bracelets to sell as a fundraiser to raise money to support first grader Saylor Peugh and her family while she is undergoing treatment for leukemia at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Regular bracelets are 50 cents, while fishtail bracelets are 75 cents. Bracelets are sold from 7:30-7:50 a.m. each morning in the elementary cafeteria and will be on sale until May 1. Rattler Family, for the past two weeks, Magazine School District has competed in a Penny War Challenge to raise money to support first grade student Saylor Peugh and her family while she is at Arkansas Children's Hospital battling leukemia. The grand total that was raised was $4,102.91. We wish to thank everyone that contributed. We appreciate your participation. The winners of the challenge were the first grade at the elementary school and the freshman class at the high school..The picture is of the money collected at the elementary next to Saylor's desk in her classroom.

Rattler Family, if your student is interested in playing volleyball next school year (2026-27), there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday (April 21) at Diamondback Arena. Student-athletes entering grades 7-9 will meet from 5:30-6 p.m., and student-athletes entering grades 10-12 will meet from 6:15-6:45 p.m. Topics of discussion will be fundraising, team camps, coaches' standards and expectations, the summer and season schedules and student-athlete contracts. Rattler Family, if your student will be entering grades 7-12 and is interested in participating in athletics and/or band during the 2026-27 school year, they must have an athletic physical before they can practice or participate in competition. The Magazine Wellness Center will give free athletic physicals for Magazine Schools student-athletes and band students in the coming weeks. Forms for free physicals will be sent home with students today and tomorrow (April 15-16). Forms MUST be returned by Friday (April 17).
