Rattler Family, senior Gracelynn Jones, along with Mrs. Diana Loyd, toured the University of the Ozarks last Wednesday, Nov. 5. She got to tour the entire campus and meet a student ambassador who explained classes, clubs, sports and other activities on their campus. She has enlisted in the Army National Guard and plans on majoring in Business Management. She would eventually like to own her own restaurant. Rattler Family, our senior boys cross country contingent of Connor Hopper and Lester Wyrick finished ninth and 66th, respectively, in the Class 1A State Meet today at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Hopper covered the course in a time of 20:03.65, while Wyrick finished in a time of 33:33.56. Rattler Family, our Lady Rattlers finished the cross country season strong today, finishing as Class 1A State Runner-up at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Senior Phoebe Hopper won the individual state championship with a time of 21:43.52 over state runner-up Emma Kivell of Kingston, who finished in a time of 22:07.50. Serenity Mora finished seventh in a time of 23:14.71, Rowynn Packard finished 15th in a time of 25:41.46, Cecilia Mora finished 16th in a time of 25:59.13, Josie Oliver finished 46th in a time of 30:55.46 and Dessi Carolan finished 50th in a time of 31:54.71.
