Rattler Family, as we near the end of the school year, many are beginning to make family plans for the summer. Here's a reminder that for student-athletes, the Arkansas Activities Association "Dead Period", a two-week period during which coaches (licensed teacher coaches and registered volunteers) are prohibited from engaging in any type of activity involving student-athletes whether it be practice, training, weight lifting, competition or travel and school athletic facilities are closed to student-athletes, will begin on June 20 and end at midnight on July 4. Rattler Family, senior Phoebe Hopper added to her list of state championships on Wednesday, winning state championships in the 800-meter run, the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run at the Class 1A State Track and Field Meet at Mineral Springs. Hopper posted a winning time of 2:37.85 in the 800, 5:41.72 in the 1600 and 13:05.75 in the 3200.
