Rattler Family, you have always been so generous when it comes to helping our students, and we'd like to invite you to help us, the Logan County Sheriff's Office Deputy Association and Magazine Police Department make Christmas so much brighter for some of our students by contributing to the annual Shop With a Cop program. All donations collected will allow us to help students enrolled at Magazine Schools during Christmas. On Dec. 17 at 10 a.m., students will partner with a police officer at the Booneville Walmart to pick out gifts for themselves and their families. If you would like to donate, please come by Magazine City Hall, contact Magazine Police Chief Brett Chappell at the Magazine Police Department or scan the Venmo QR code on the flyer below. Rattler Family, if you have been in Mrs. Root's elementary class, you know what THUNDER THURSDAY is. It's a time to express your love of reading in front of the class and "Be the Teacher" and "OVER ACT" THE STORY. The students get to do that with their TONE and VOICE, and by using phrasing and fluency to express their story, along with A LOT OF FUN and MOVEMENT. Making reading fun is one of the most important parts of Mrs. Root's class! Early Out Dates
Rattler Family, students from Mrs. Green's and Mrs. Bollinger's third-grade classes are preparing to write opinion papers about which pie is the best Thanksgiving pie. On Tuesday (Nov. 8), the students had a taste-testing where they had to create a list of adjectives to describe each type of pie. Opinions have to be based on facts and experience, so they conducted research in order to have a valid opinion.
