Rattler Family, our first-graders finished their school year off by working hard on the playgrounds Friday afternoon. The students each took their scoop shovel and worked on putting the rocks back where they belong. Then they walked around and cleaned up the playgrounds. Rattler Family, the last week of art class was spent getting back a year's worth of artwork and finishing up last-minute projects. Our first-graders made some awesome alligator puppets. Rattler Family, here is an incredible, fun opportunity for you and your child, especially if you love baseball! All students in kindergarten-8th grade who received at least one A (or equivalent) on their end-of-year report card will receive two free Dugout Premium tickets to the Sunday, June 4, game and get to be recognized on the field/videoboard! In addition, the June 4 game includes $1 hot dogs and kids get to run the bases postgame. Rattler Family, each school year one student from each of the seventh-12th grades is selected to receive the Citizenship Award. This award, which is voted on by the teachers, is given based on criteria such as character, attitude and participation in school and community activities. This year’s Citizenship Award winners are Everlee Chappell (seventh grade), Kauree Bennett (eighth-grade), Phoebe Hopper (ninth grade), Tempiest Dickens (10th grade), Brock Gentry (11th grade) and James Haugh (12th grade).
