Rattler Family, freshman Abby Crandall recently participated in the kickoff event for the Beyond the Lens: Teen Photography Mentorship Program at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. This program gives teens a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn about photography from world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz at the opening of her exhibition and to be mentored by local experts in the industry while creating a masterpiece of their own. Teens will learn everything from practical photo-taking techniques to how to exhibit work, and their final portrait will be showcased in the studio, online, and in print. She will meet with her mentors multiple times over the next few months. Portraits will be displayed later this fall.
