Rattler Family, each year, the Magazine Alumni Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who has shown improvement from the ninth-12th grades and plans to attend an institution of higher education, which can be any type of college, vocational/trade school or cosmetology school. This scholarship is funded solely by donations from Magazine Alumni. Magazine Alumni, we need your financial help to keep this longstanding tradition going. Rattler Family, here's a reminder that Atlas Testing will begin this week for students in grades 3-6. The schedule will be ELA for Reading and Language on Tuesday (May 7), Math on Wednesday (May 8) and Science on Thursday (May 9). Each test session will begin at 8:30 a.m. Parents, please make sure your students get a good night's rest before each testing day and that they arrive on time for the start of school each day. Rattler Family, Josie Oliver want 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and drove in one run as the No. 3 seed Lady Rattlers beat the No. 1 seed Cotter Lady Warriors 7-5 this afternoon in the third-place game of the 2A-West Region Tournament at Lavaca. Oliver was one of five Lady Rattlers with multiple hits. Zoey Thurman, Mattie Terry, Destiny Corley and Hallee Franklin had 2 hits apiece, and Thurman, Ainslee Chappell, Destiny Corley, Joslyn Corley had 1 RBI apiece. Terry earned the win, allowing 5 runs (all earned) on 13 hits with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts over 7 innings.
