Joey Shumate, Master Electrician, came to speak to fourth grade about what electricity is, how it works, and how to be safe around electricity. He talked about what and electrician does and how to become an electrician. He brought different types of switches, outlets, wires, tools and an inverter for the students to examine and handle. Students were even able to use a simple voltage tester on an outlet! Fourth grade is thankful to have a new member of our community share his knowledge and expertise with us!

2nd grade's community service project, "Thank a Police Officer Breakfast" was awesome! All of the kids enjoyed getting to eat and visit with the officers. Thank you for all of the hard work you do to keep us safe.

After reading a story about a farmer's market, students made their own paper fruit or vegetable, wrote a sentence about it and determined the cost they would sell it for. Then as a class we learned how to shop and make choices.
