Students in Mr. Gipson's Fifth-Grade Social Studies class completed their Running for President and the Voting Process lesson this week by registering to vote and then voting in their own Presidential Mock Election on Tuesday. Students learned the legal requirements to run for President of the United States, the backgrounds of both major party candidates for President, the process to become a registered voter and the experience of voting.

Recently, Mrs. Young's 1st grade class read a story about a farmer's market. The students then worked on creating their own market where they were able to shop and make decisions on what they wanted to buy.
They enjoyed learning about markets, money, and decision making during these activities!

This year has been an adjustment for us all, but elementary art students are loving working in their own "office space" and earning art bucks to rent art supplies at MES Art Studios. Ask your student about their new job at MES Studios and which commission they are working on.
