4th, 5th, and 6th grade students competed in the Elementary Quiz Bowl Tournament at the Guy Fenter Education Cooperative.




Wednesday, March 16th the 6th grade class participated in Instrument Day. The High School Band did a fantastic job teaching about the different instruments.





Magazine's junior high and senior high track and field teams return to competition today, March 17, as they compete against other area teams in the Rattler Relays beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Magazine High School Track and Field Complex. Students in 6th-8th grade enjoyed a fun and education production by the "History Show"! The goal was simple: cover the entire timeline of US History in just 45 minutes. It seems like a lot...but they were completely up to the challenge... Or were they? Ask your student about the "History Show"!

In the first home track and field meet of the season last week, school records were broken as Magazine student-athletes Jailynn Sims broke the junior high girls record in discus (97-feet, 10.5 inches) and Elizabeth Merritt broke the junior girls school record in the 1600-meter run (5:50.07). Magazine's junior high track and field teams will again look to achieve greatness today, March 14, in the Rattler Relays beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Magazine High School track. The Magazine School District continues to carefully monitoring the weather and road conditions. Currently, temperatures are forecasted to remain slightly above freezing until approximately 5:00 p.m. Parents who are concerned about the weather may check their student(s) out, on March 11, and have the absence excused. Families also may call the office to have their high school student released to drive home from campus. School will dismiss and buses will run at regular time.
