Rattler Parents/Guardians of Kindergarten Students, 📚🎉 we're so excited to welcome our Kindergarten Rattlers for a fantastic new school year on Wednesday, Aug. 13. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We would like to extend a special invitation for Kindergarten Parents/Guardians: You are welcome to walk your child into the elementary school building on the first day of school only to help them settle in and start their Kindergarten journey! After the first day, our amazing staff will be ready to help students enter independently. 🚗 To keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly, please use these designated parking areas if you're walking your kindergartener in:

-- Parking area on the south side of Highway 10 along the High School Building

-- Gravel parking lot in front of MOP

-- Grassy area (By the Rock House) next to the gravel parking lot

Rattler Family, as we begin a new school year, it is important that your child/children be up to date on all of their childhood vaccinations. With that in mind, the Logan County Health Unit will host a Back to School Vaccine Clinic from 9:40 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Booneville location (721 W. First Street) and the Paris location (150 S. Lowder Street). Rattler Family, today we as a district celebrated the start beginning of preparation for the upcoming school year that begins next Wednesday (Aug. 13) with our annual District Day. As part of our celebration, we recognized all our faculty, both old and new, but particularly took time to honor those who have dedicated 30 or more years to educating our students here at Magazine. Magazine Elementary student families, 📢 we would like to inform you about our updated arrival and dismissal procedures at Magazine Elementary that will take effect immediately, helping to ensure the safety of all students—especially with the addition of our Toddler classrooms on campus this year. 🚸❤️

🚗 From 7:15–8:00 a.m. and 3:00–3:30 p.m., Carr, State and School Streets will only be allowed for the following students:
🔹 Carr Street – Faculty and Buses ONLY
🔹 State Street – Pre-K and Toddlers ONLY
🔹 School Street – Kindergarten through 6th Grade (Please use Grove or Scott Street to enter onto School Street for drop-off and pick-up everyday. You will exit onto Highway 10.)

These changes are in place to reduce traffic congestion and provide a safe and organized flow of traffic around our growing campus. 🚦 We truly appreciate your patience and support as we work to create the safest environment possible for our students.
