You may have heard your kid say something about an art party this week. Classes earn art parties based on behavior. It’s an art class spent letting kids be in complete control of their art work. They get to use all the skills they’ve learned to create freely, and not to mention have loads of fun!

The Magazine Conservation Academy students at Toltec Mounds Archaeological Park. They learned about the people that inhabited the area and built the mounds. There were 18 original mounds, but only 3 remain due to destruction from settler farming. They also learned how they used weapons, such as the atlatl spear and blow gun, to hunt.
