Retired Magazine Elementary School Principal Rebekah Roberts recently donated a book to the Magazine High School library. Only it wasn't your ordinary book.
The copy of "This Is How I Do It", a book about gardening, was written by Magazine resident Janet Kirbo, a retired Magazine Schools Teacher's Aide, and the forward was written by Magazine alumnus (Class of 1974) and former Magazine High School Teacher James Paul Moore.
The book is described as being "written with folksy-charm, (and) her "This Is How I Do It" garden journal will give the reader her step-by-step guide to planting, nurturing, harvesting, canning, preserving and cooking the bounty that is produced in her garden."
It's "filled with beautiful color photographs, (and) the reader can easily imagine the sights, sounds and smells of a garden in full bloom."
The book, which is available for purchase through Amazon.com, also contains a selection of the author's favorite recipes.
