Safest School in Logan County

At Magazine Schools, the safety of your children is one of our top priorities. We take every measure to ensure your children have a safe and protected learning environment. Because of our emphasis on student safety, Magazine Schools has been ranked as the safest school among the five Logan County schools in the latest Niche School Rankings.

Online Concurrent Credit Courses

To help students prepare for their future after high school, Magazine Schools offers free online concurrent college courses that allow students to receive college credit while still attending high school. Students can enroll in college courses such as English Composition I and II, College Algebra, College Math, World Civilization I and II and American History I and II. Students in the recent 2022 graduating class left MHS with anywhere from six to 20-plus college credit hours.

Purple Star School

Magazine Schools has been designated as a Purple Star District. We are the FIRST and ONLY school district in Logan County to earn this prestigious designation. The Arkansas Purple Star School Award for military-friendly schools recognizes schools that show a major commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation’s armed forces. This is a tremendous honor, and it further shows our dedication to ALL students.

A Message From Principal Matt Binford

Rattler Families,

As summer closes, we are getting excited to begin the 2024-25 school journey. We hope that you have had a restful and productive summer. Changes and upgrades are going on around campus. Our maintenance crew has been working hard to get everything ready to receive our students. At the high school, we have added several new staff members to our program.

With your support and the hard work of our staff and students, the 24-25 school year will deliver many significant accomplishments. Our athletic teams have been hard at work getting ready to win. ACT Prep was a success. Many of our students started their first jobs. Two of our young men are finishing Boot Camp.

Magazine High School is a special place. It is an honor to support this community and provide students with pathways to success.

Hello Rattler Families,

Hello, my name is Christi Vasquez, and I am the K-12 School Guidance Counselor. I am so excited to be your school counselor! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.

Magazine School District follows the American School Counseling Association Model and district guidelines for school counseling. It includes various services for ALL students such as academic, career, and social/emotional development. The following services will be offered for the 2024-2025 school year:
