Rattler Family, it's almost time for our second annual Coach Robert Dean Memorial Toys for Tots Toy Toss Game! Our Toy Toss Game will be on Friday, Dec. 15, during the Magazine-Scranton senior boys basketball game. When the Rattlers score their first point(s) against the Rockets, everyone will toss their soft toys onto the court in celebration. All toys and donations collected will go to the Arkansas River Valley Toys For Tots to help the children of needy families in our area have a much merrier Christmas. Rattler Family, here's a reminder about an opportunity for your student to have their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Photos will be taken for elementary and high school students tomorrow (Wednesday, Dec. 6). Photo prices are $5 for four 4x6 prints or $10 for a digital copy. With digital copies, you can take them to area photo printing places, like Walmart, and purchase your prints, photo ornaments, etc. All proceeds will benefit the School Activity Fund. Forms were sent home with elementary students. High school students may pay the day of the photos. Rattler Family, the City of Magazine's "Home for the Holidays" Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 9) in downtown Magazine. After the parade, be sure to stop by the Gloria Perry Community Center, where there will be free hot dogs and hot chocolate, photo opportunities with Santa Claus, free children's books given out by the Magazine Schools Beta Club elves and a bake sale to benefit the Magazine City Event Committee.
