Rattler Parents of Eighth-Grade Students, Magazine Schools will participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) on Monday, March 4. It is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what students know and can do in various subjects. A letter will be sent home with your eighth-grade student TODAY (Friday, Jan. 12) explaining all aspects of the assessment. Please take time to read the information about the assessment, administration of the test and the use of data received from the test. Rattler Family, it's that time of year! Our junior high and senior high Beta Club students will put their many talents on display this week during their annual Beta Club Student Variety Show. The popular show will feature musical performances, instrumentals, comedy skits, etc., by our Beta Club students. There will be two performances for students on tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 11) -- high school/junior high at 10:30 a.m. and elementary at 1:30 p.m. -- in Diamondback Arena. Admission is $2. A final performance for the general public will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 14) in Diamondback Arena. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students. All proceeds from admission will help offset costs for the upcoming Beta Club State Convention.
