Rattler Parents of Seniors, Magazine Schools is hosting a FASFA Application Night from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the high school library. This will be a come-and-go meeting so your senior can complete the 2025-26 FASFA application, which should take about 30 minutes. College representatives will be on hand to assist with the applications. Please remember that your senior will not be eligible for state and federal scholarships and grants if the application is not completed. Seniors must have their FASFA ID at least three (3) business days before completing the application. There will be drawings for food gift cards and VISA gift cards. Rattler Family, Magazine alumnus Airman First Class Dalton Angel recently was awarded the Air and Space Achievement Medal while assigned to the 406th Air Expeditionary Wing at Ramstein Air Base in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany. As a Fly Away Security Team member, his tactical expertise safeguarded assets and a USAFRICOM Field Service Representative, providing security details throughout four countries to deter five terrorist organizations. His efforts enabled the repair of $1.3 million in crucial counter-IED equipment and training for 300 soldiers. He was instrumental in the itemization of 1,400 assets and the discovery of 21 weapons that were unaccounted for by two expeditionary air bases. His efforts aided in the retrograde of 270 Defenders and redeployment of 2,650 tons of cargo for the historic withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Republic of Niger, concluding operations 70 days ahead of schedule. Furthermore, he coordinated complex itineraries to encompass 88 duty requirements to ready 30 personnel for rapid response and ensure impenetrable mission security while traversing seven foreign nations. Finally, he executed 120 hours of critical support across a 1.8 million square kilometer area, enhancing Joint service operations and enabling $205 million in infrastructure upgrades to bolster diplomatic initiatives in Africa. These distinctive accomplishments reflect credit upon him and the United States Air Force.
