Everyone loves lunch time, especially when delicious meals like these are on the menu! Magazine High School students enjoyed another great lunch of their choice of taco pasta or a crispy chicken wrap with garlic toast, steamed broccoli, applesauce and assorted fruit. That also included a salad bar, as well! Rattler Students, Magazine High School is working to promote kindness and inclusion on campus. We are all set to celebrate the launch of the Kindness Club on Friday (Aug. 26). Each student in the sixth-12th grade and all high school staff will receive a FREE sno-cone during their lunch. Kona Ice will be set up by the cafeteria from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Friday. High school students and staff will need to get a sno-cone during their lunch break. Our sixth graders will arrive at 11:45 a.m.-12:05 p.m. to get their sno-cones. We will open the Kindness Club to anyone who wants to join during Club Rush on Wednesday (Aug. 31) and Thursday (Sept. 1). This club is made possible by a grant with Special Olympics written by 2022 Magazine graduates Brianna Tripp and Jazzman Corley. The club is sponsored by Magazine Elementary counselor Shanna Moore and Magazine High School Special Education teacher Danielle Lyle. Rattler Family, several of our students received awards and accolades for their work during the recent Logan County Fair. Among them were Serenity and Cecilia Mora, who are members of Magazine 4-H. Serenity received the Grand Champion Award for honey with comb and for crochet. She also received the Reserve Market Breeding Award for her pygmy doe. Cecilia received the Best of Breed Award for her alpine. Serenity and Cecilia, received awards for their chickens, including the Best Tail and Best Feather Pattern.
