Rattler Family, two students from our high school Educators Rising, Krisi Easley and Haylee Francis, along with their teacher, Ms. Davis, attended the Educator's Rising District Conference at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville yesterday (Tuesday, Nov. 15). During the conference, the students learned about the education program at Tech, what financial aid opportunities are available, how to succeed in college and about the Student Support Services for Teacher Prep at Tech. They also toured the campus and listened to a keynote address Capri Bell Salaam, the 2023 Arkansas Teacher of the Year. Salaam encouraged the students to be authentic in the classroom, to be lifelong learners and to practice self-care.
