Rattler Students, tryouts for the 2023-24 junior high and senior high cheerleading teams will begin with mandatory pre-tryout practices on March 31 and April 3-4 from 3:30-5 p.m. with an optional open practice on April 5 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Tryouts will be April 6 beginning at 4:45 p.m. All practices and tryouts will be held in the MES safe room. Parent permission forms are available in the high school office and must be signed prior to tryout practices. Rattler Family, Ms. Root's and Ms. Kellogg's fourth-grade students had their "Red Carpet Middle of the Year i-Ready Assessment Growth Celebration" on Wednesday (March 15). The students showed great support and enthusiasm for their fellow award winners. Students earning awards in Top Growth for Reading were: first -- Taybree Scott (410-percent growth with an 82-point increase), second -- Noah Franklin (361-percent growth with an 83-point increase) and third -- Tara Davis (283-percent growth with a 54-point increase. Students earning awards in Top Growth for Math were: first -- Noah Franklin, second -- Alli Earp, third -- Alex Hittner.
