Rattler Family, Magazine Schools Resource Officer Jerry Holt, along with Magazine Police Chief Brett Chappell, conducted an impaired driving car accident scene re-enactment this afternoon (Friday, April 14) on campus to give our junior high and high school students a look at the real-life consequences and effects of driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs or riding with someone who is driving impaired. Rattler Family, the Magazine Police Department, Logan County Sheriff's Office, Logan County EMS, Magazine Fire Department, Air Evac and Affordable Wrecker Service (Bobby Posey), in cooperation with Magazine Schools, will conduct an impaired driving car wreck simulation for students at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at the Magazine High School football practice field and adjacent Diamondback Arena parking lot area. In order to portray a real-life situation, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, fire department/first responders and Air Evac will be arriving on this area of the Magazine High School campus as though it were a real accident. Please make note of the nature of this event and the fact that the increased police and medical personnel traffic on campus is a part of the simulation.
