There are so many things going on at Magazine School District.  You will only need to look around to find something exciting. Below are just a few things that happened this week.

1.  College classes got started this week for our students. At Magazine High School students are able to take FREE college credit courses on campus, that's right FREE.  This is a benefit for our students that not every high school offers.  These Rattlers can walk across the stage at graduation while completing enough college credit hours to be a second-semester Freshman.

2.  Mrs. Duke's 5th/6th-grade science classes had a special guest, Dr. Varnell, this week to help teach sound waves. One student said it was so fun, that she did not even realize she was leaning until the end of the lesson when she could answer all of Dr. Varnell's questions about sound!

3. Have you ever heard that schools don't teach students how to do practical things like balancing a checkbook or buy a car?  That isn't so at Magazine High School! Our seniors showed off their skills in  Personal Finance class by performing a skit where they played various roles from buying a car, being a car salesman both in-person and online, insurance agent, and car finance manager.  They certainly were able to show how the process works and what to look for when you are buying a vehicle.  These 2020 seniors are getting ready for the real world and it showed!

4. Tonight we kick off the beginning of football season with a scrimmage against Cedarville.  This should be a fantastic season and we are all looking forward to the game next Friday night.  Please note: This year we will have designated handicapped parking beside the Wellness Center which is close to the ticket booth.  Please watch for those signs as we come together to cheer on our Rattlers.
